OPINION: Why Uhuru's Latest Strategy Could Weaken Raila Ahead of 2022

President Uhuru Kenyatta has in recent days okayed the decision to lead Raila Odinga's 2022 Presidential Campaigns by Senior Government officials such as Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Governors among many other respected Members of the Public service. Also in the recent days, Raila is being given airtime by various media house to have his events streamed live in various location.

This move has automatically angered Deputy President William Ruto, One Kenya Alliance leaders, and other 2022 Presidential Aspirants as well as respected political Gurus such as Herman Manyara, and Hon Peter Kagwanja,,, and Ambrose Wenda. They have argued that Uhuru's direct or indirect engagement will automatically complicate Raila Odinga's efforts and that such a move will end up like that of the BBI process, where Kenyans were made to believe that the process was a state sponsored project.

Okay, What will happen now that Interior Cabinet Secretary Hon Fred Matiangi and his Junior Dr. Karanja Kibicho alongside Joseph Mucheru have declared that they aren't stopping leading and attending Raila's 2022 Presidential Campaigns anytime soon? Will that affect Raila positively or Negatively? And what if it's a secret plan by President Uhuru Kenyatta to completely weaken Raila Odinga while propelling Ruto's 2022 Presidential Bid.

When the court of appeal ruled out that the BBI process was Null & Void, several ODM allies including Caleb Amisi, Blogger Robert Alai as well as Edwin Sifuna argued that there is a huge likelihood that Uhuru was aware of what was happening. Some argued that a sitting President can lack ways of salvaging what he loves.

Back to put headline again; Now it goes without saying that Uhuru's latest decision to allow Government officials to lead Raila's campaigns is one of the latest tactics to Propel Ruto to the statehouse next. Either Uhuru is going it knowingly or Unknowingly, Raila won't win the 2022 presidential election unless he goes back to the drawing board and sees what happened when President Gideon Moi Openly via state machinery led President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President Wiliam Ruto's 2002 Presidential campaigns. The two leaders Lost terribly.
