In 2013 and 2017 general elections, President Uhuru Kenyatta was working with Deputy President William Ruto. They were close but things changed after the famous handshake and as the nation heads to the 2022 general election, many people have been anticipating that the Head of State will instead endorse his handshake brother Raila Odinga over DP Ruto.
Today, Raila Odinga was in Naivasha, Nakuru County where he was received like a king. That was a move that went well with Odinga's top ally Peter Kaluma who in turn came out with a strong message about the coming events. As we are currently speaking, anxiety has rocked the Nation ahead of 2022 poll as Kenyans were told what President Uhuru Kenyatta will do so by Peter Kaluma. Through his official twitter account, Kaluma thanked the people from Mt. Kenya region for the love they have been giving Baba off late before stating that Uhuru will soon speak.
"What can't Love do! We thank our brethren from Mt. Kenya both at home and in the diaspora for this great warmth towards this great icon @RailaOdinga. Let's build a new prosperous Kenya defined by Love, Peace and Unity. President Kenyatta @StateHouseKenya to speak soon, very soon!" Tweeted Peter Kaluma.
By saying that Uhuru will speak soon, it is not known whether the Head of State will be endorsing Raila or not but definitely time will tell.
