DP Ruto to Miss Important Event as He Heads Nyandarua to Hunt Votes

On Wednesday, , a team of governors, cabinet scretaries led by Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i and the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga, among other political leaders converged in Wote, Makueni county, to officially open the 7th Annual Devolution Conference; which focuses on climate change, specifically the Multi-Level Governance for Climate Action.

The event occurred in absence of Deputy President William Ruto whose reason of missing is yet to be known. At the same time, President Uhuru Kenyatta was away from the country.

The event will be ending today in the same county. President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to attend the event.

On the other hand, Deputy President William Ruto who was not among the attendance during opening, has declared not to attend today's event. According to the report, Deputy President William Ruto's speech will be read by representative.

Even as president Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to conclude the Devolution Conference today without his Deputy, Ruto will be heading to Nyandarua county to hunt votes.Courtesy.
