President William Ruti has been warned as he is told why the embattled Independent Electoral and Boundaries Four Commissioners popularly known as Cherera four should not be removed from office and instead the government should look into an alternative way and means of dealing with the matter in hand as removing them could result into a constitutional crisis.
The call to remove the four commissioners comes a time when the commissioners chairman Wafula Chebukati and his team of other two commissioners coming to an end after serving for a period of six years and therefore they should be leaving office by January next year.
According to Joshua Changwony the director at Constitution and Reform Education Consortum, the conuntry would be in a constitutional crisis should the tribunal call for the removal of Masit and Wanderi, as IEBC will have no commissioners after Cherera and Nyangaya resigned.
"You can imagine the absence of commissioners and the role they play in the IEBC so this most likely to out the country into a constitutional crisis" he explained.
