Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula has spoken out, sending a strong message to the Law Society of Kenya.
Wetangula revealed specifics of his evening meeting with the Law Society of Kenya, Nairobi branch, in a statement made via his official Twitter page account.
"The National Assembly will make every effort to work in conjunction with all significant stakeholders who are essential for the passage of progressive legislation. Happy to interact this morning with the Nairobi Branch of the Law Society of Kenya, under the direction of Ms. Helene Namisi, chair "Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula said.
The Law Society of Kenya has been urged by Wentangula to serve Kenyans with the utmost loyalty. He advised them to follow the law, serve the population with dedication, and not let their own desires lead them.
"gave them advice on how to maintain their adherence to the law, pay close attention to the development of their profession, and avoid letting material demands rule their lives. This occurs just hours before the Speaker of the National Assembly, who is scheduled to rule on the majority party in the National Assembly today, does so.
