Herman Manyora Alleges Raila Might Have Been Compromised After Nyanza Events

Sensational claims have been made by political expert Herman Manyora that President William Ruto may have compromised Azimio leader Raila Odinga.

Manyora expressed his surprise at how the Head of State was welcomed in Raila Odinga's Nyanza backyard in a Monday, January 16, interview with NTV.

"Any of these guys would have been bought; there is simply no other explanation, so it must be true. There can be no other explanation, according to Manyora, but either they have been corrupted or this is their approach.

However, he asserted that despite some lawmakers defying him, Raila is still in charge of the Luo Nyanza area.

"Raila is the undeniable head of the Luo people, just as many Kenyans living outside of Luo area look to him as a leader. It would be naive to attempt and wish him away just because he wasn't elected president.

"Raila is a master at reinventing himself; just when you think he is in trouble, he reinvents himself, which is why he is the mystery that he is. I don't believe that Raila should retire from Nyanza politics at this moment, Manyora continued.

His comments came a day after Siaya Governor James Orengo requested a meeting between President William Ruto and the former Prime Minister for the sake of national unity.

President, please. I'm requesting this from you in an inclusive manner rather than a handshake manner. Because the elections are done, I invite you to join your brother Raila Amolo Odinga at the table of brotherhood on Saturday, January 14.
