Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga suffers a major hit as Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance faces mass defection. The defectors said that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party is over-deciding in the camp and other parties including Jubilee are subjected to low participation.
The defectors further thanked President William Ruto for considering former President Uhuru Kenyatta by offering him a task as a regional peace mediator.
However, the Chairman of the Jubilee Branch in Nairobi led the defection threats as he claims to leave the Coalition within two weeks. He said the Nairobi Jubilee party branch delegates have collected 10,000 signatures to grant their move.
The delegation also cites blackmail in the Alliance saying that the Coalition pact has not been adhered to.
"We have had enough of your protests, which are self-serving and only serve to benefit one person. Our time with you is Over," the chairman said.
