Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua on Sunday after attending a Church Service in Kinangop Constituency, Nyandarua County in the company of Deputy President William Ruto told off the president over the remarks he made on Friday.

While addressing Kiambu residents last week, President Kenyatta warned the leaders allied to the second in command that they will be fixed for their decisions, after telling his Deputy to resign.

Gachagua responded to the president telling him that he is the person who spoke and proposed Ruto to b the best person to succeed him after his 10-year reign is over, and hence nothing was changing that.

"We have a plan, and it i you the president who came with the plan, you said yours ten and Ruto's 10, we are still on that plan. President, please relax, we are okay, you told us Ruto was good and indeed he is, we will not let you down.." Gachagua said.

Gachagua further stated that Ruto's camp was strong and that Raila was not in any way going to disrupt the wing. He claimed that the president had in the past described Raila has a negative person and that is still what they are holding on.

"We cannot sleep as envelopes just like the 'center person' told us, we are alert now.." he continued.
