The battle for the August polls is likely to take a new turn following the new and fresh announcement by the IEBC.

The commission has unveiled serious election guidelines that are expected to cut across all the political divides as they set up the efforts to be taken against any individual who shall betray their guidelines.
Politicians are expected to adhere to the guidelines the IEBC has set to ensure free and fair elections ahead of the August general election.
The code puts an obligation on all those bound by it throughout the election period to refrain and condemn actions that may cause or involve violence and intimidation.
Aspirants will also have to avoid hate speech, or any action that may lead to violence or intimidation. The commission has also responded to the statement by the DP Ruto as he stated that the any person who shall be involved into chaotic scenes will be highly prosecuted.
