Names Emerge of Seven Top Personalities DP Ruto Chose to Head a Top Organ of His UDA Party

Deputy president William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance movement Party has finally come up with the party's National Elections Board.

This follows a top meeting that was convened by the second in command in his official Karen residence in Nairobi where several names were selected to form the NEB.

In the list is Anthony Mwaura who is expected to be chosen as the chairperson of the National Elections Board in case they agree on him after their meeting that will take place in a retreat in Naivasha this weekend.

Other proposed members to the board are Salome Beacco, Aurelia Rono, Ummi Bashir, Matiko Chacha, Raphael Chimera and Halake Dida.

The board is expected to cone up with the programme of how the party's nominations will be conducted ahead of the upcoming general elections of August.

The party said it has attracted over 7,000 aspirants who will be seeking the party’s ticket to vie for various seats in the coming nominations.

This will be the greatest hurdle that the board will be seeking to ensure that they deal with it in a harmonious manner in order not to have a lot of election related grievances after the nominations.
