Senator Murkomen Defends Lang'ata MP Nixon Korir Over Tribal Claims in Awarding Bursaries

Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen has come out to defend his ally Lang'ata member of parliament Nixon Korir over tribal allegations in awarding bursaries in his constituency.

In his tweet Murkomen attached screenshots of how Lang'ata constituency Development Fund (CDF) was awarded to various beneficiaries contrary to earlier claims that only kalenjins benefited from it.

He further advised those perpetrating the rumours not to be selective just to drive a tribal wedge.

This is after a list circulated online earlier in the day showing names of people awarded the bursaries of Lang'ata constituency where majority of them were kalenjins studying at Cooperative university of Kenya.

Many people came bashing Korir saying that he is descriminating against other tribes when awarding the funds which are meant to benefit everyone in the constituency.

The mp is yet to respond to these allegations that has seen him get trolled through out the day on twitter.
