Gap Widening Between Raila & Ruto In Nyeri After Picking Their Running Mates As Per Latest Opinion

A recent opinion poll conducted by Mizani Africa highlighted the potential ramifications for Nyeri County if Ruto and Raila Bekhethe are elected on August 9. According to a recent poll, Deputy President William Ruto lost 4% in Nyeri County, where Rigathi Gachagua was elected against Raila Odinga, who gained 6%.

Deputy President William Ruto has a 72 percent approval rating, whereas Raila Odinga has a 23 percent approval rating, up from 17 percent. This reveals that Rigathi did not increase William Ruto's vote total, but rather lost a few votes.

Interestingly, while naming Rigathi Gachagua as his chosen partner, Deputy President William Ruto expressed confidence that a member of parliament is a great facilitator. Whether he will be able to change the minds of the people of Nyeri for the benefit of Ruto let's wait and see.

The fact is that the appointment of Martha Karua as Raila's partner brought excitement to Raila. It has become clear that some women feel neglected even though it is clear that a woman's enemy is another woman.
