President Ruto New Year Message Of Hope To Kenyans

According to President William Ruto, his government has pledged to maintain a sustainable economic developments by 2023.

Ruto said as he rang in the new year at the State House in Mombasa that he had taken the time to ensure that the economy is based on sound economic policies during his first days in office.

Ruto stated, "I had to make difficult decisions about our economy when I came into office because we were not doing well."

He added ," I have taken a bold step to ensure the economic recovery of the nation by eliminating subsidies, which were initially implemented out of political mileage due to the election to give advantage to certain individuals".

The president expressed optimism that the year 2023 would turn out better, despite the fact he acknowledged that the country had faced numerous difficulties as a result of the war in Ukraine and the pandemic.

“We thank God that Kenya has been able to survive through those challenges and we look forward to a prosperous 2023,” stated William Ruto

Raila Odinga, the leader of the opposition, has also acknowledged the difficulties that Kenyans faced in 2022.

Odinga stated, "The difficult economic circumstances that prevailed and continue as we usher in the New Year made living conditions more difficult.

In addition, Odinga stated that he anticipates a fruitful discussion regarding ways to enhance the governance structures and the constitution.
