Kenya's general elections will be conducted in next year(2022). The competition to State House is what many individuals are looking at keenly. President Uhuru Kenyatta is finalizing his second and last term in office. If the Constitution will be adhered to, he won't vie for the third time.
His Deputy President William Samoei Ruto has been affirming publicly that he is prepared to succeed President Uhuru. He is attempting to prepare on how he will be campaigning something that could have led to bad relationship with his boss.
The opposition leader Raila Odinga who is also the Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) who lost in 2007, 2013, and 2017 might vie for the seat. Remember he has relished a near relationship with the President since 2018 after the famous handshake.
In my opinion, President Uhuru might choose to endorse the CS Interior and Coordination of National Security Dr. Fred Matiang'i. He will get huge votes largely from Central region and emerge a winner.
