The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) top organ today held coalition talks with Muungano party leader and Makueni Governor Hon Kivutha Kibwana in what seems like a political choreographed scheme to enlarge its base.
These coalition talks come amidst reports of a supremacy battle within the larger Ukambani region with Kivutha Kibwana taking it against WIPER Leader Kalonzo Musyoka who is considered to have an upper hand in the region that has rallied behind him for years.
With Kalonzo Musyoka noting that he is ready for talks with either Raila Odinga or Deputy President William Ruto, Kivutha Kibwana's move comes immediately after Musyoka's comments raising eyebrows on which side the Wiper Leader may lean towards.
"This morning Executive Director @ongwen held a 3-hour meeting with Makueni Governor @governorkibwana who is also Muungano Party Leader to discuss arrangements for working together. Also present was Hon. Emmaculate Musya, former nominated MCA in Nairobi."ODM tweeted.
