Raila Odinga Opens Up On Cherera's Opaque-Presser Forced Him To Accept Election Loss

New details has today emerged on what forced Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party leader Hon Raila Odinga to accept election loss. Raila referred to a similar 2010 event in Ivory Coast where the election body chairperson announced results in a hurry after differing with juniors. Ivory Coast witnessed post-election skirmishes that saw former president, Laurent Gbagbo, accused of crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

In Kenya, IEBC chairperson, Wafula Chebukati also declared William Ruto as president-elect at Bomas of Kenya while his deputy rejected the results at a parallel press conference, nearly following the same trajectory. With this act, Raila Odinga had to accept the election loss in order to avoid many issues.

Raila Odinga who is now a strong opposition leader has cleared the air on the main purpose that resulted to him accepting the election loss otherwise, he couldn't have.
