Today Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka made a big move by joining Raila's political vehicle Azimio La Umoja side ahead of te 2022 General elections. This ended the One Kenya Alliance Coalition as Gideon Moi also joined the camp.
Kalonzo Musyoka move to Azimio La Umoja is a big boost to Raila's bid since he comes with the 2 million Ukambani Votes basket from the Ukambani Counties.
Methinks that despite the move, Deputy President William Ruto has also some chances to beat Azimio La Umoja side in some counties within the County along the region.
The first county is Machakos County, reason being that Former Machakos Governor Johnson Nduya Muthama is one of DP Ruto's Pointman in the area and he is also the Chairperson of the United Democratic Alliance Party.
The other county may be Kitui County, reason being that the county has an outgoing governor Charity who is leaving politics and may not have big influence on the county.
