UDA's Kisang addresses hundreds of his supporters after his senatorial victory.
UDA party senatorial candidate in Elegyo Marakwet county has today stormed area town for mega celebration after bagging the hotly contested senatorial seat.
William Kisang trounced down his close competitor Tim Kipchumba by garnering 41,378 votes followed secondly by Kipchumba with 38,151 votes.
Hours after picking his victory certificate, the now Elegyo Marakwet senator- elect stormed area town accompanied by hundreds of his supporters to celebrate this hard- won victory.
Mr. Kisang thanked the people of Elegyo Marakwet county for bestowing their Trust and faith in him to be the second senator since devolution initiation.
" Thank you Elegyo Marakwet county for bestowing your trust and faith in me and electing me to be your second Senator" read a statement on William Kisang official Facebook page.
The Senator- elect went further to thank leaders from the county who rallied behind his bid promising to work together in implementing their manifesto and make the county great.
" From the bottom of my heart, receive my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude. I promise to work together with all our leaders, implement our manifesto and make our county great" added Kisang.
Kisang now officially succeeded Kipchumba Murkomen after his swearing in.
