Despite national tallying centers continuing to count ballots as deputy President William Ruto and former prime minister Raila Odinga compete to be declared the winner at the end of the entire process, Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen has burst into early jubilation today.
The sitting senator is currently celebrating with the Keiyo North locals the victories of some of his close friends who ran for and gained office, including Adam Kipsanai, who won a seat in parliament, and a number of County Assembly members.
"I joined the citizens of Keiyo North at Iten to celebrate the accomplishments of elected officials, including Adams Kipsanai, the newly elected MP, and the newly elected MCAs Steve, Cheptiony, Chesire, and Cheboiboch. We pray for God to give them wisdom and grace as they serve the electorate. Good luck, "Written by Kipchumba Murkomen.
The chosen second governor of the county, Wisely Rotich, of Elgeyo Marakwet, was present with the legislator.
