DP Ruto's Night Meeting With Western Leaders Raises Much Eyebrows

The dust is slowly settling after a celebration in deputy president's camp after the building bridges initiative appeal was turned down by the court of appeal. The end of building bridges initiative marks the start of political season in the country as 2022 general election draws nearer.

The DP Ruto had earlier in the day joined worshippers in Kirinyaga county for a Sunday service. He was accompanied by some Mt. Kenya leaders including Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and Mathira's Rigathi Gachagua.

After the church service, the deputy president is alleged to have travelled to Naivasha where he hold meeting with elected leaders from the larger western region.

While taking to his account, his closest ally, Dennis Itumbi stated that the DP has started the economic engagement with the alleged leaders where an engagement schedule will be crafted.

These meetings are part of his effort to encroach regions perceived to be his opponents strongholds. He had earlier succeeded in Mt.Kenya where he was abled to convince the residents to vote for his candidate during the kiambaa by-elections.
