Petitioner challenging Aisha Jumwa's degree withdraw the case

The constitution of 2010 expected every gubernatorial candidate to have a legitimate university degree to be cleared by an independent electoral and boundary commission (IEBC) to run for the governor's position.

The CS nominee for public service Aisha Jumwa was among the people who were dragged to court to stop her from running for the Kilifi county gubernatorial seat due to allegations of the illegitimacy of her university degree.

However, Aisha Jumwa was allowed by the high court to run for Kilifi's governor's position. The petitioner filed an appeal case seeking to provide more evidence to reverse the previous ruling by the judges.

Fortunately, the petitioner has today dropped charges put against Aisha Jumwa's legitimacy of her university degree. The reason which made the petitioner drop the charges against Aisha Jumwa's case remains undisclosed.

This happens shortly after the CS nominee for Agriculture Mithika Linturi was relieved by the case which claimed that he raped a woman. The woman who filed that case mysteriously dropped the charges.
