The Second Governor of Bungoma county, Hon Wycliffe Wafula Wangamati have left many people shading tears of joy after he visited one of the residents of his county for a financial support. Governor Wangamati, visited Mama Penina Wafula,who is a single parent mother living in Lwakhakha,Sirisia sub county in Bungoma county.
The Governor who have been offering academic sponsorship to Kevin Wanyonyi(Penina Wafula's only son) spent his day with this family at there home in Lwakhakha checking on the academic progression of the boy. The boy Kevin under Governor's sponsorship, Joined Chesamisi high school last year 2020.
After spending the day with the family, Wangamati took Boda boda ride with one member of the family to Lwakhakha market and bought building materials for the family. The Governor ordered the Constitution of Kevin and his mother's house to take off immediately.
Governor Wangamati also bought a solar lighting system for the family so that it could be used by the student for studying at night. He also bought a wheelchair for Mama Penina. This is to help her in moving around at home.
Governor Wangamati is serving his first term as the second governor of Bungoma county. He took office in 2017 using a Ford Kenya ticket. He have also declared his interest in vying for the second term come 2022.
