Allies of president William Ruto have taken charge of the board of electricity retailers Kenya power as the new administration tighten its grip on the plum utility firm. This follows Kenya power shareholders of which the government is the largest with a 50.1 percent stake elected fresh faces to the board of the company kicking out members of the previous board.
These include some who had been appointed as dictators as recently as August this year. The new independent dictators are strong allies of the fifth president of the republic of Kenya Dr. William Ruto.

The doctors, who had offered themselves for election but failed to Garner enough shareholder confidence as they did not get state support are Sarah Mbwaya, Brigadier (retired) James Gitiba, justice (Rtd) Aaron Ringera and Abel Kipkoech Rotich.
What could this mean for Kenyans after president William Ruto's allies take over Kenya power board? It's now a matter of wait and see what happens in the coming months if the price of power will go up or not.
