Deputy president William Ruto's hustler nation narrative is gaining traction among some sections of kenyans as the battle for the presidential position in 2022 heats up.
In kenya's history, ODM Party leader Raila has often been regarded as the enigma of kenya's politics and many credit him with being an accomplished crowd puller as his events have continually attracted numbers in the last few decades.
However, it currently appears that the ODM leader is yet to hit the road on a serious campaign trail like what deputy president William Ruto is currently doing. In his silence, Ruto has seemingly taken over that enviable tag as a good crowd puller.
Over the last few months, deputy president William Ruto has continually pulled large crowds in various parts of the country ranging from Kisii, Mombasa, Kajiado, Nyamira and Narok among others.
This trend has continued today during his high profile tour of Meru county where he has attracted mammoth crowds during several events that he has held in the region.
Ruto addressed large crowds in the various towns he visited starting from Maua, Kangeta, Muri and Meru town where huge numbers attended if photos shared by Ruto on social media are to go by.
