The president of the republic of Kenya William Samoei Ruto is barely 100 days in office Since he was sworn in on September 13 last year. Having settled down, the head of state is keen on fixing the economy as pressure mounts to deliver on his promise of lowering the cost of living.
In a bid to lay out strategies to fix the economy, Ruto held a tense meeting in Nanyuki with his cabinet secretaries and advisors that went into the weekend.
In the meeting, the president is said to have read the riot act to the members of the cabinet stating that he won't hesitate to crack the whip should any of theme is found to have fallen short of the expectations. According to Sunday nation, the president is said to have even thrown out some top officials who allegedly came late for one of the meetings.
The paper reports that the action by the visibly angry commander in chief of the armed forces forced everybody to come to the subsequent meeting very early without delay.
The ministers were put to task to lay down key deliverables for the next three months complete with sources of funding.
In the meeting that lasted between 7:30 to 9:00 am, the inquisitive president demanded concise answers on ministries plans in line with Kenya kwanza manifesto.
Additionally, president Ruto warned Ministries and departments on costly suits against each other advising that conflicts should be solved outside courts.
