Hours after availing himself to the office of the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Tuesday 7th March, Fred Matiang’I is still held there. The former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’I appeared at the DCI HQ for a grilling over the alleged police raid in his home.
Matiang’I arrived at the offices at 8:30 in the morning and past midday he is still there. However, the latest reports have shocked Kenyans making them curious about what might be going on in the DCI offices.
This is after Citizen Digital reported that Ant-Terror Elite Squad had been deployed at the DCI HQ. Earlier reports had revealed that Matiang’I has refused to record a statement in regard to the charges he is being accused of.
The DCI had summoned Matiangí to grill him over allegedly spreading rumors about an alleged raid at his Karen residence by a group of police officers between February 8 and 9, 2023. He was to appear at the DCI offices earlier but was not in the country. He jetted back on Saturday and made his way to the DCI Offices today.
