Raila's Campaign Head Gov Ndiritu Muriithi Runs Into Fresh Trouble as Party Throws Him Out

The incumbent Laikipia county chief His Excellency Governor Ndiritu Muriithi has run into trouble and picked up a fight with Party of National Unity (PNU) secretary general Okemwa Anunda. The conflict follows an announcement by Anunda declaring that the the able Governor is not a member of the party and is not allowed to hold nor call for an aspirants' meeting.

Muriithi had earlier claimed that he is now a PNU member and announced his intentions to defend the Laikipia gubernatorial seat on the party's ticket. The governor has now been left hanging with no party following the party statement.

Speaking to the press, Muriithi accused the secretary general of making personal decisions. "Which party does not want aspirants? this is pure sabotage," Ndiritu exclaimed.

Despite being cut off from the party, Ndiritu is sure that he won as an independent candidate and he will still do so if he doesn't get the party's ticket. " Am attractive to many parties and I still have may options, that is why the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga appointed me as chairman of his campaigns," said Muriithi.

Internal sources have indicated that the governor is in cold war with Peter Minus over the management of the party.
