Leader of the Orange Democratic Movement Raila Odinga has been greeted warmly by fans at his first public event since losing the election.
The politician's convoy traveled along Haille Selassie Highway on December 7 in order to get to Kamunkunji Grounds for the event.
Greater crowds surrounded the motorcade led by former Kakakemga governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Eugene Wamalwa, and Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna as it reached the event.

By the time Raila arrived in Gikombaa, his security team was having trouble preventing his followers from approaching the black Toyota Land Cruiser that was transporting him.

Other Kenyans went about their daily lives as usual while crowding the streets to catch a glimpse of the seasoned politician seated on the SUV's sunroof. As thousands of people watched a live video on ODM's Facebook page, the enthusiasm spread on social media.
Kenyans' opinions on the rally were divided, with some claiming it was causing unneeded disruptions.
