"It Is Awful" Drama As Newly Decamped Azimio Member Emotionally Regrets Decision, Issues Apologies

Following Alice Wahome's appointment to the cabinet, renowned journalist Waithira Muithirania declared her intention to run for the parliamentary seat in the Kandara constituency. President William Ruto proposed Alice as the CS for Water.

On a Jubilee party ticket, the former Inooro FM radio host competed for the Murang'a woman representative seat, but Betty Njeri Maina of the UDA defeated her.

On Friday morning, Waithira declared that she had joined the UDA party after leaving the Jubilee party. She declared that she is getting ready to run on a UDA party ticket for the Kandara seat.

At one point, Muithirania became emotional and started crying as she begged the constituents not to focus on her history but rather to welcome her warmly into the UDA.

"It's difficult for me to describe how I ended myself in Jubilee. It was awful and I don't want to think about my time at Jubilee. Murang'a residents warned me against taking that political course, but I detested them. Every time I wanted to quit that party and join UDA, the Jubilee leadership would threaten me. Because I knew liberation had arrived, I was among those who cheered when president Ruto lifted the sword. In Jubilee, there was no freedom "referred to Waithira.

"I'm pleading with the Kandara people to accept me as I am. With my troubled past, they shouldn't try to concentrate. I am like the prodigal son, who was lost yet was greeted with open arms when he returned home. I should be forgiven and welcomed into UDA by the people of Kandara. I'll put in the effort for them and won't fail them "Waithira, who was visibly upset, remarked as she dried her eyes.

The politician went on to claim that no other woman could fill Alice Wahome's shoes but herself. She declared herself prepared for the UDA party nominations and pledged her allegiance to the organization.
