Their have been a tough political climate in Kenya. Many people have been summoned to appear before the court to answer questions and produce evidence for allegations they have made against their colleagues. This have seen many of them ending up in jail and losing office.
A case in point is Mike Sonko, who is serving a 30 day in jail for terror links and defamation charges. Sonko is currently in jail pending trial. This comes after he accused Karanja Kibicho for criminal acts. Speaking yesterday, Musalia Madavadi, the Amani National Congress (ANC )leader, refuted claims that he has been fronted by other leaders to inherit Kenyatta.
He reiterated the fact that, his allegiance with Kalonzo Kalonzo Musyoka, uhuru Kenyatta, and Raila Odinga does not insinuate that he is the successor to president Uhuru Kenyatta. However, he urged the citizens during burial ceremony in Vihiga, to register as voters as he believes the power of leadership rests in votes.
During the burial ceremony of his late mother in Sabatia, it was evident enough that Musalia Mudavadi is the man who will carry the day come 2022 general elections. President Uhuru Kenyatta made it clear that it was time for another community to lead.
In the recent past, their has been speculations that Mudavadi will automatically emerge the best candidate on the basis that he has been a visionary leader who is ready and willing to move Kenya to new heights.
