The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance camp, led by Raila Odinga, Martha Karua of the Narc Kenya party, and Kalonzo Musyoka of the Wiper party, have been urged not to respond hastily to anything that President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza government may say or do.
Manyora contends that Ruto is justified in asking Kenyans to give him a year to modernize the nation, and that after that time, the opposition and all Kenyans should be justified in criticizing the president.
The lecturer from the University of Nairobi continued by saying that it is regrettable that the Azimio camp is publicly criticizing everything that Ruto and the KKA government are doing, including a press conference they held yesterday in response to a move to remove four IEBC commissioners who disagreed with Ruto's victory.
"Instead of expecting the opposition to respond just because Ruto said something, I want to ask them. They ought to explore for more effective approaches to interact with the president or respond to what he says."
Manyora went on to say that during a time of economic hardship, mass protests are not a viable option because they will only scare away investors and will not help a country build itself.
