DP Rigathi visits wife of Dedan Kimathi at hospital

The deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has today, visited the wife of the late freedom fighter of the Maumau resistance group, field Marshal Dedan Kimathi, Mukami Kimathi who has been held in hospital for not having the funds to pay of her hospital bills.
The Deputy president led prayers of thanks giving in the Nairobi hospital where the 92 year old, Mukami Kimathi is hospitalized.
The deputy president went ahead to thank his boss, president William Ruto for his swift action on paying the hospital bills of Mukami Kimathi, and also for paying the outstanding bills that she was owing.
" I want to thank president William Ruto for his swift action of restoring the dignity of Mukami Kimathi who has been held in hospital for failure to clear her bills. The president and I were not aware of this, because we were on a working tour in Nyanza region, until last night when this matter was brought to our attention... She had a bill of 1.3 million that has been cleared by the president and she should be on her way home," said the statement by the D.P to the media.
