Matungu constituents have given an heroic welcome to Kapseret member of Parliament Oscar Sudi as he joined the campaigns to drum up support UDA flag bearer in the 4th March Matungu by-election, Alex Lanya.
Sudi is seen in the photos being carried on shoulders by unidentified man as the rest of crowd escorts him.
"Engaging electorates in Matungu Constituency as we drummed up support for UDA candidate Alex Lanya. I'm impressed with the kind of hospitality that people of Matungu have. What a warm reception!" posted Sudi.
The race gives an opportunity to political heavy weights,DP William Ruto and Musalia Mudavadi, to test their political might in the Western region.
The Matungu seat felt vacant following the date of Justus Murunga last year.
Alex Lanya will be squaring it out with Peter Nabulindo (ANC), David Were (ODM), Alex Lanya (UDA), Charles Kasamani (UDP), Paul Achayo (MDG) and Faida Auma of Maendeleo Chap Chap in the anticipated 4th March bi-election.
