More Deaths From Protests in Uganda as Museveni Sends a Stern Warning to Citizens

The total number of deaths in Uganda due to protests has arisen to 28 according to the reports by the Uganda Police Force (UPF). Protests which started after the arrest of the pop star, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert alias Bobi Wine who was arrested on Wednesday after allegations that he was flouting Covid-19 rules.

According to the reports by UPF, some of the protests in different locals are being fueled by group of politicians in Kampala Metropolitan , parts of Central Region, Elgon, Busoga, and Masaka. A total of 577 suspects were said to be arrested and are expected to appear before the court.

The protests are said to be coordinated by a team of 300 ring leaders who are said to supply tyres using motorbikes, and Motor vehicles. Some of the leaders have been captured after they were recorded by the CCTV cameras. A number of properties are reported to be destroyed worthy millions of Ugandan shillings.

Meanwhile, the nation's president Yoweri Museveni has warned protesters that he will be dealing with anybody who dares touching anybody wearing a yellow cloth. According to the reports by the NTV Uganda, Museveni said that his nation loves unity and independence and whoever dares to go against the law will be dealt with.
