The infamous ICC case against Dp Ruto has taken a new twist after fresh details emerge on the role of the late Meshack yebei in a case against Ruto. Daily nation reports that the late was a member of the strategy group that worked to scuttle the case against Ruto in ICC.

Yebei is said to have been on the verge of giving testimonies against Ruto and Journalist Sang over the humanity case of 2007/2008 post election violence before he was mysteriously murdered.

He disappeared in December 2014, and his mutilated body was found at the Man-Eaters area in Tsavo National Park. Lawyer Paul Gicheru who surrendered to ICC on November 2, 2020, revealed he met Yebei and that together, they tried to influence the case against the deputy president.
Many of Dp Ruto's allies have been refuting these claims over it's timing and intent to tarnish Ruto's name ahead of a highly contested presidential elections.
