CRB and HELB has been trending throughout the day, thanks to a discussion initiated by Kenyans On Twitter (KOT). This is a reaction to the 2 Million car grant promise that president Uhuru made to MCAs during the Sagana meeting. President Uhuru made this promise in a move to ensure that BBI motion is favourably voted for in County Assemblies.
This prompted a serious reaction and discussion on what are the priorities of the government. Majority of the Kenyan youths which make up the largeat percentage of the Kenyan population feel cheated.
Jubilee government was voted for by majority if the youth to clinch power, with a promise if creating jobs and earning opportunities for them. However, this has not been the case as witnessed by the ever increasing unemployment rates.
In all this hard situation, coupled with the dwindling of the economy by Covid-19, the government through handshake is pushing for a change in constitution through BBI.
This has been opposed by some of the powerful leaders in the country while others are in support of the document.
This BBI narrarive and promises being made to MCAs to pass it has angered Kenyans who have taken it to twitter to air out their frustrations as well as try to catch the attention of the head of state on the matter.
The rallying call by youths is for the government is to rethink and get their priorities right especially during this hard economic times.
