I will go for the Uasin Gishu senatorial Seat no Matter What-Governor Jackson Mandago

Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago now says he will vie for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat despite being rubbished by Kapseret member of parliament Oscar Kipchumba Sudi

Speaking to the press in Quinet Mandago said people are the ones who decide who their next senator be .

"I want to say without fear of contradiction that I have decided that I am going for the Uasin Gishu senatorial seat despite some people trying to pull me down. Its not some few individuals who will be allowed to choose their leader but residents," said the Uasin Gishu governor.

Governor Jackson Mandago recently declared his interest for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat which is currently being held by prof Margaret Kamar.

But his bid did not go well with the Kapseret member of parliament Oscar Sudi who rubbished his bid saying Mandago should go for national politics and not County.

"To my friend Sudi concentrate on Kapseret and not me, I have decided and as you know me I don't have any reverse gear, just allow residents to choose a leader of their choice and I will accept their choice," he added.

Mandago who was elected on a Jubilee party ticket is serving his second term as Uasin Gishu governor.

Under his tenure the County had seen improved infrastructure and living standards of residents.

He added that his track record speaks volumes as the first governor of the county. Starting from education, roads, path-walks and he understands devolution and how better the county ones elected as a senator.

While presiding over the fundraising for churches in Kesses Sub-county, deputy president William Ruto announced that all posts on United Democratic Alliance (UDA) will go for elections and electorates will decide their leaders.
