National assembly speaker Justin Muturi has already declared his presidential bid. The assembly speaker was nominated by Democratic party as their preferred presidential candidate early this month in Nyeri county.
The national assembly speaker camped in Nyamira county which is one of the counties in larger Nyanza region. He was warmly received upon his arrival by local leaders and his supporters.
The chopper carrying the speaker landed at Esani special school in Kitutu Masaba constituency. He was warmly welcomed by area leaders led by Kitutu Masaba legislator Shadrach Mose, West Mugirango legislator Vincent Mogaka and North Murigango MP Joash Nyamache.
The speaker is expected to tour different parts of Nyamira county to popularize his presidential bid. He will also grace several events in his tour and meet local leaders for consultative meeting.
Speaker Justin Muturi is currently the Mount Kenya region spokesperson. He is also a member of Mount Kenya forum which is led by NARC party leader Martha Karua and Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria.
