Nairobi based politician Alinur Mohamed who is affiliated to the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya alliance, has lashed at trade and industry cabinet secretary Moses Kuria.
The CS made statements in regard to the country's need to import maize to address the maize shortages that has led to higher maize flour prices.Moses Kuria was unapologetic in his statement as he said the decision was deliberate.
Alinur opined that the CS was using disrespectful language to force the GMO maize to Kenyans. He observed that power seemed to have entered into Moses Kuria's head.He asked the CS to retract the statements, apologize and resign.
"There is no way Trade CS Moses Kuria is going to use disrespectful language to force GMO maize on us and expect us to clap for him. It's unfortunate that he has allowed power to get to his head.He should withdraw these insensitive remarks, apologize to Kenyans and then resign," Alinur said.
