Today two cabinet secretaries met several governors for an intergovernmental meeting in Kiambu county.
Cabinet secretaries in attendance included; agriculture cabinet secretary Mithika Linturi and mining and blue economy cabinet secretary Salim Mvurya.
The two government officials discussed issues of food security and sustainability in the country with the county chiefs in the meeting.
" Joined my counterpart CS Mithika Linturi in an intergovernmental meeting in Kiambu county, where we dealt with the issues of food security and sustainability in our country" posted Mining and blue economy Salim Mvurya on his official Facebook page.
Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya said that the blue space forms a critical part in food security undertaking and pledged to support the program to ensure wealth creation.
The county chiefs were led by their chair Anne Waiguru who doubles as council of governors chair and the council chief executive officer.
Other governors in attendance included; Ken Lusaka( Bungoma), Cecily Mbarire ( Embu), Njoki Muthomi ( Tharaka Nithi) Julius Malombe ( Kitui), Wesley Rotich ( Elegyo Marakwet) among other county chiefs.
