Nyeri County Deputy Governor Dr. Caroline Karugu on Wednesday visited Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga's Kisumu County home.
Dr Karugu visited Raila's Kisumu home for a meeting with Mama Ida Odinga to discuss matters Women in Leadership, the opportunities and the challenges involved.
The Nyeri Deputy Governor also thanked Mama Ida for always opening her homes especially to women in leadership and always offering a listening ear and a caring heart.
"DAY THREE (FINAL DAY): VISITING MAMA IDA ODINGA. Mama Ida Odinga has over the years built a legacy of empowerment of the girl child. She has been in the forefront of supporting women in leadership/politics. I shared time with her in her Kisumu Home discussing matters Women in Leadership, the opportunities & challenges alike," Dr Caroline Karugu said after the visit.
She visited Mama Ida with lots 9f gifts from the Mount Kenya region including arrow roots, and sweet potatoes.
"I also delightfully shared with Mama Ida some gifts from NYERI COUNTY; arrow roots (Ndûma) from Chinga - Othaya and Sweet Potatoes (Ngwacî) from Ngainî - Mathîra. I thanked her for always opening her homes to especially women in leadership and always offering a listening ear and a caring heart," Dr Caroline added.
