With the race which had three top competitors, that is Timothy Maneno of independent, Daniel Kivuva of UDA, and Eshio Maundu of Kalonzo's Wiper, it has come as a surprise to many as the independent candidate Timothy gets declared as the winner of the elections.
He has taken the lead with 2,013 votes followed by Daniel Kivuva of UDA with 1,619 votes as Maundu takes the third position besides heavy support by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka. He has only garnered 1,135 votes.
Nobody expected the victory of Timothy as many had seen Kalonzo's candidate as the top favorite for the vacant MCA seat due to Kalonzo's heavy influence in the region as the top political heavyweight just like Ruto in Rift Valley and Raila in Nyanza.
But this has now left him with no choice but to accept the defeat and congratulate Timothy Maneno for winning the seat massively over his and Ruto's candidates who were getting their full supports.
