Mt Kenya leaders are no longer reading from the same script as they used to a few months ago when their main phrases were hustlers, kazi ni kazi, Mungu mbele, among other political slogans that united them.
Rigathi, while speaking to a local tv station on Tuesday, revealed that the main reason why Mt Kenya leaders are swimming in a pool of divisions is that DP Ruto picked him as his running mate, and not what other leaders wanted.
Nation reports that Rigathi noted that before DP Ruto named him to be his running mate, all Mt Kenya leaders were peaceful and always cheered each other on while marketing DP Ruto
Things went to the south when DP Ruto did not pick Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki, who had emerged as the winner with 24 votes when 30 Mt Kenya leaders voted to pick a running mate.
"I had led these people for four years and we were okay then ... we differed when this seat came up for grabs," he said as reported by Nation
