The outgoing Ndaragwa Constituency MP has alleged why the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga did not get as much votes in Mt Kenya region.

Kioni in his remarks has claimed that Raila's footsoldiers in Mt Kenya did not have adequate time to convince Mt Kenya to vote for Raila.

He has added that despite not having enough time, they created enough doubt in a sizeable number of voters not to vote for United Democratic Alliance (UDA) presidential candidate William Ruto.

"We did not have adequate time to convince Mt Kenya to vote for Raila, but we created enough doubt in a sizeable number of voters not to vote for Ruto," Jeremiah Kioni said.

The remarks by Kioni come amid the wait for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to announce winner for the presidency.
