The minority leader in the Parliament, Opiyo Wandayi has dropped a hot question to President Ruto over his move to scrap off HELB loan and come up with alternative funding body called National Skill and Funding Bord ( NSFC).
Opiyo has asked President Ruto on what will happen to those students who are awaiting to be disbursed the loan amount by HELB so that they can fund their fees when universities and colleges reopen.
Wandayi has asked President Ruto on whether those students should defer for studies for six months so that they can resume when the new NSFC body comes in and starts offering tuition loan.
"As you disband HELB, what happens to the poor university students who are due to report for their new semester this month? Do they also defer their studies for six months, which is historic?" Opiyo Wandayi said.
What's your view on this all story of HELB being moved to NSFC.
