He continued by urging the family members to work together during this time of hardship where they mourn their leader. Despite that, the deputy president William Ruto was accompanied by leaders led by the Mathira member of parliament Hon Rigathi Gachagua, Kiharu member of parliament Hon Ndindi Nyoro, United Democratic Alliance party chairman Hon Johnson Muthama, Nakuru senator Susan Kihika, Kimani Ichungwa among other leaders.
