After years on the campaign trail, DP Ruto is set to face Raila Odinga, who recently reaffirmed his presidential ambition in an event in Kasarani attended by thousands of his supporters.
One of them is almost guaranteed to become Kenya's fifth president, given their prominence as front-runners.
If Raila is elected president, he has finally disclosed his plans for the second in command.
According to today's Standard, the former Prime Minister claimed that he will imprison Ruto for a year because he belongs in prison.
Ruto's offenses, according to Raila, are what he refers to as graft. Raila has accused Ruto of misappropriating state monies and handing them over to harambees and SACCOs.
Raila claims that the funds were obtained by graft and that they could have helped Kenyans if they hadn't been taken.
