MP Wanjiku Kibe, legislator for Gatundu North says the ground in Mt Kenya is fully behind Deputy President William Ruto but notes that ODM supremo Raila Odinga will win the presidency in 2022. Kibe, an ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta and part of Jubilee Party’s Kieleweke wing, also vowed to contribute to ODM leader’s Azimio la Umoja rallying call saying it was very important to the country’s unity.

From Mt Kenya West, Governors Mwangi Wa Iria (Murang’a), James Nyoro (Kiambu), Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Mutahi Kahiga (Nyeri), Francis Kimemia (Ntandarua)vand Ndiritu Muriithi (Laikipia), as well as former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth have endorsed Odinga.
