It is now crystal clear that we are remaining with less than three months and Kenyans will be granted the golden opportunity to elect leaders of their own choices to represent them. In Kakamega County, the race to succeed the outgoing Senator Cleophas Malala who is vieing for the gubernatorial post has been gaining momentum.
The race has attracted the likes of the former Kakamega County governor Dr Boni Khalwale of UDA party, former Rural Private Hospitals Association of Kenya Chairman Brian Lishenga of ODM party, Sammy Aina and Winfred Asiko.
The former Kakamega County Senator Dr Boni Khalwale will be facing stiff competition from Brian Lishenga of ODM party because of the dorminance of the party in the county.
Dr Boni Khalwale is very popular figure in the county through his annual Bull Fighting Competition. Khalwale is likely going to emerge victorious because of his political experience, his ability to move the crowd and finally his ability to mobilize the voters at the grassroot level.
