According to KANU party leader Gideon Moi, he was ready to capture the top seat come 2022 general election and was first seeking the blessings of his Kalenjin community. He is of the view that he was better placed and did not expect his own community to stab him at the back during elections in 2022.
Gideon Moi has remained clear that he will not back down for he has more support and connections than William Ruto across all corners of the country given his father was the president. According to him, it's clear he was better placed to form the next government come 2022.
To Gideon Moi Presidency is like a family thing for clearly it beats logic of how a person whose father ruled for 24 years would also want to lead Kenya. However it's up to Kenyans as well his community to decide for seemingly it's only the Moi family that can produce a president, they have special mothers than the rest of Kenyan mothers whose sons cannot be anything.
However whether Gideon Moi will make it to win against Ruto from his community ahead of the 2022 general election only time will tell. However facts must be told that he has very little chance winning against William Ruto not just from the Kalenjin community but also in his own Sacho home.
